Terms of service

Last updated: 29 July 2026 · Draft, pending legal review

These terms cover two different things: attending one of our events, which is free and needs nothing from you, and booking a vendor booth, which is a paid contract. If you are only coming to shop, sections 1 to 4 are all that apply to you.

1. Accepting these terms

By attending a Collective Hub Center event, using this website, or booking a booth, you agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

We may update these terms. The version in force for any given event is the one published when you booked, and we will not change the refund policy for a booking after you have paid for it.

2. The event

Admission is free. There is no ticket, no registration and no guest list. Doors, closing time and venue for each show are published on the events page and are the authoritative version.

Giveaways advertised for a show - mystery packs for early arrivals, prize draws - are limited in number, offered while stocks last, and available to people physically present at the event. No purchase is necessary to enter any draw we run.

We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone at our discretion, including for the reasons in section 3. Because admission is free, no refund arises.

3. Conduct

Our events are family friendly and we intend to keep them that way. We ask everyone to behave decently towards other attendees, vendors, our staff and venue staff.

We may remove anyone who harasses or threatens another person, damages property, steals, sells counterfeit goods, is intoxicated or disruptive, or ignores instructions from event or venue staff. Serious incidents will be reported to the venue and, where appropriate, to the police.

The venue's own rules apply on its premises alongside ours.

4. Photography and filming

We photograph and film our events, and we use that material to promote future ones on this website and on social media. By attending, you agree that you may appear in it.

If you would rather not appear, tell a member of staff on the day, or email us afterwards and we will remove any image in which you are identifiable from material we control. We cannot remove images taken and published by other attendees or by vendors, because those are not ours.

5. Vendor terms

This section applies to anyone who books a booth. It sits alongside the vendor rules you acknowledge when applying, and where the two differ, this page governs.

Booking and allocation

A booth is yours once payment has completed - not when you start a booking. Selecting booths places a temporary hold that expires if payment is not finished, after which those booths return to the floor for anyone else to take.

In the rare case that two vendors complete payment for the same booth, the earlier completed payment holds it, and the later one is refunded in full automatically.

Load-in and load-out

Setup opens at 8:00am. Doors open to the public at 10:00am. The show closes at 6:00pm and all tables must be cleared by 7:00pm. Vendors are expected to stay set up for the advertised hours - packing down early leaves a hole in the floor that other vendors and attendees paid attention for.

Your table

You get the booths you booked, with tables provided. Displays must stay within your booth footprint and must not block aisles, fire exits or another vendor's frontage. You are responsible for the security of your own stock at all times.

Removal

We may remove a vendor, without refund, for selling counterfeit goods, for conduct covered in section 3, or for repeatedly ignoring the floor rules above.

6. What may be sold

Trading cards, sealed product, collectibles, comics, video games, toys, and original art and custom items. If you are unsure whether something fits, ask before you book.

Counterfeit, bootleg, reproduction or otherwise unauthorised goods may not be sold, and there is no warning. A vendor found selling them is removed from the floor for the day with no refund, and will not be offered a table again.

Also prohibited: weapons, anything requiring an age-restricted licence to sell, anything illegal to sell in California, and anything unsuitable for a family audience.

You are responsible for your own tax position, including any California seller's permit or resale certificate your sales require. We do not currently require vendors to hold their own insurance, though you may wish to.

7. Payment

Booth fees are per table for the whole day, charged in US dollars, and are due in full at the time of booking. The price shown at checkout is the price - we calculate it on our own systems and nothing sent from your browser can change it.

We take payment by card through Stripe, and through PayPal. We do not accept cash, bank transfer or peer-to-peer payment apps for booth fees, and we will never ask you to send money to a personal account. If someone claiming to represent us asks you to, it is not us - please report it.

8. Refunds and cancellation

If you cancel a booking, the refund depends on how much notice we get, because a table released close to the show is far harder to resell.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, and usually take five to ten business days to appear. To cancel, email us - see section 13.

Booths are not transferable to another vendor without our agreement in writing, so that we know who is actually on the floor.

If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us before filing a chargeback. We would rather fix it directly, and a chargeback filed without contacting us first may cost you a future table.

9. If we change or cancel the event

This has already happened once - the show has moved venue before - so it is worth stating plainly rather than leaving to be argued about later.

We are not able to refund your other costs - travel, accommodation, stock bought for the show - so please make arrangements you can live with.

10. Liability

You are responsible for your own property at our events. We are not liable for theft of, loss of, or damage to a vendor's stock, cash or equipment, or an attendee's belongings, whether at the venue or in transit.

Where we are liable to a vendor for something that goes wrong, our total liability is limited to the booth fee you paid for that event. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under California law.

You agree to cover us for claims arising from what you sell or do at the event, including claims that your goods infringed someone else's rights.

11. Intellectual property

The Collective Hub Center name, this website and its contents are ours. Vendors keep everything of their own - name, logo, photographs and stock.

By giving us your business name and Instagram handle when you book, you agree we may list you as a vendor on this website and in event promotion. Ask us and we will take you off the list.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and both of us agree to that.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
